Protein powder?

Should I use protein powder while trying to lose weight? I am using cardio and weight lifting in my weight loss journey, but Idk if I should be using powder if I'm not "bulking"

Theres nothing special about protein powder. It's just something some people use to meet their protein goals. If you dont have any trouble getting your protein in then I wouldn't bother with it.

Think of protein power as a food, just like any other food. If having it will help you feel satiated and meet your goals, go for it. If you feel like you won't like it or you have no problem getting your protein from other sources, then you don't need it.

I drink 2 protein shakes every day and lose weight. I use them to reach my macro goals because I don't like eating meat. it fits my calorie goal as well

In transitioning into being a vegetarian so I feel like it may be beneficial. I just didn't know if there was a reason for me to need it. Every fitness person I know used protein powder so I was like uhhh should I get some now?

Not needed unless you personally find it helps. Just like how you don't have to eat potatoes to get carbs. There are plenty of sources for all your macronutrients. Protein powder just happens to be one of them.

Are you logging your food? Are you getting at least 0.6-0.8g of protein per lb of your goal body weight? If not, then you can either eat more food that provides protein or use protein powder.

The usual draw of protein powder is you can get a lot of protein in a relatively small amount of calories and an easy delivery system.
