Hi. I'm originally from the US, but living in Europe now. I'd like to find people in the same situation to share experiences (and recipe substitutions when you can't find ingredients!), and motivate each other since we are in the same time zone.

You'll need to tell what country you're in. Foods are different in each one. I'm in Italy---pasta!

Living in Austria, but near the Italian border. Local food is a lot of pork and noodles, with seasonal veg & fruits. Good stuff, but I mostly try to cook my own food. Some "foreign" ingredients are really hard to find like fresh coriander, jalapeno peppers, ghee, etc.

I'll give you some advice, after 32 yrs in Italy. Get into the local cusine and it'll be easier. We used to go on vacation in Silian, Austria and we ate divinely at our hotel.
