Hi, I recently went to doctors with complaints of constant burping, choking sensation and nausea throughout the day. My doctor has recommended I try a low FODMAP diet for 6 weeks to “reset” my digestive system and try see if I have any specific food intolerances.
Has anyone tried this? Is it worth it? How did you feel? How long did it take to work for you? Do you have to keep it up forever, or is 6 weeks enough to “reset” did you go back to eating what you wanted after?

    Digestive systems don't need resetting.

FODMAP is used to find out if you have reactions to certain foods. Doctors tend to "recommend" it when someone has IBS.

However, now they're saying IBS is a symptom of other issues. For example, lots of people with anxiety also experience stomach problems which get "diagnosed" as IBS. So when the anxiety is addressed the stomach problems also go away.
