Seeing results?

How much weight loss does it take to see results? I've lost almost 10 pounds so far but can't tell it. I'm still motivated and going to continue to lose, I'm just wondering when I'll be able to see results.

I noticed around 20 lbs. others noticed around 35. I was over 100 lbs overweight and I'm only 5'5" tall so I guess the best answer is it depends, lol. Sorry I know that's not alot of help.1

I’d suggest using photos to notice the differences visually. Take a photo every 10lbs or so.1

This is such a personal thing. I have only lost about 7-8 pounds but my clothes are fitting much better.0

It can depend on height - the taller you are, the more weight it takes for it to be noticeable. I second taking photos to see the difference. We see ourselves everyday, so the subtle changes that weight loss causes are hard to notice.
I probably started noticing with an unclothed body around 20 pounds lost. Clothed, I noticed sooner that something was going on because I had some tight clothes that were no longer tight.0 -
This is hard to answer without knowing how much you weigh and how tall you are. I’ve lost about six pounds, and can tell because my clothes are fitting again. This might not be helpful, because I only want to lose a few more.
I second the idea of photos- they can really help to see any differences.
And don’t give up! It’s a game of patience and consistency!0 -

I am 5'10" and my current weight is 207.8. My highest was 217 and my goal is 160.0 -
Pictures are your best bet. Changes are sow and you look at yourself everyday so it's going to be hard to notice. Side by side pictures are the best visual aid.
Beyond that, most people don't lose weight in their "problem areas" first which are the areas they are looking at the most. When I lost weight, a lot of my initial weight loss was in my extremities...fingers, arms, legs, etc...not stuff that is very noticeable when you have a fairly pronounced gut.0 -
You are pretty tall and it’s weird where people first notice weight loss. For me, it’s the boobs - which makes me kinda sad. Where I’d really like to notice (legs, bum, inside my knees) never seems to change much -at least not as much as I’d like.
I don’t know about you, but most of what I wear is stretchy, so changes in a little weight don’t immediately register re: how clothing fits.
Take photos: side, front, back. If you keep up the weight loss you WILL see a difference.0 -

It may take 15-20lbs for you to notice. But people that haven't seen you in a while will notice a difference.0 -

try this perspective.
your overall goal is to lose 22% of your current weight. (47 pounds divided into 207)
10 pounds is not quite 5% of your starting weight.
now, imagine your 207 weight as 100 pennies. Move 22 of those pennies off to the side. Dang! look at that big hole! yeah , looking good!
now, put all 100 pennies back together and take out 5. hard to see the change in the size of the pile.
good luck, be patient, and remember - you've got this!1 -

I’m also 5’10”. It takes about 20 lbs for me to go down a size.0 -
I've seen it published in the past (sorry can't remember where) and it seems to hold true - that you need to lose around 20% of your weight in order for others to notice it easily (without it being pointed out). In personal experience, that seems true for family and friends. Co-workers will go ahead and wait a little longer, for fear of offense!.

The first place I noticed was my face and I went down a pant size after 10 pounds.0
