if u have meat in the freezer how long is it good for? I heard 6 months but don't really know.

Depends on a lot of things - how you wrap it and freezer temp, etc. I would say 6 mos is the MAX. I generally only buy what I will use in a month or so - and USE it before you buy more!0

i agree it depends on the type of meat, how it is wrapped, the freezer settings, etc, but we have used some meat a year to 18 months later with no problem (shrink wrapped and double-bagged). i think you will be able to tell when you are thawing it if it is good or not (freezer burn, funky color or smell, excessively long time frozen, etc). i know that there are recommendations out there with max guidelines, but i think you should just use your head.0
