Hello All!!

I am at the point in my journey where I do not really need to lose anymore weight but I still want to decrease my body fat percentage. I would LOVE to start a lifting routine - but I do not have access to a gym. My routine right now involves judo twice a week and I am following You are Your Own Gym.

There are ALWAYS threads on here about how to start a home routine without the use of equipment and they always include great advice. Please share your results for working out at home, w/o any equipment and info on your routine. I am particularly interested in strength/resistance results - but ALL stories are welcome!

Thank you!!
Christina

Sure! I am happy to hear about them all. There are always threads with inquiries on how to strength train at home - and again, there is always great advice. But I rarely see specific success stories related to those threads (now I do not read every single thread, so I am sure I am missing some).

ETA: But yes, I am specifically interested in those who have gone through Convict Conditioning, Your Are Your Own Gym, and other forms of progressive body-weight training...

I had grown moobs which had made me very self conscious. Limited what I felt I could wear. In February 2012 I decided to finally sort myself out by swearing to myself that I'd do push ups every single day until I was happy.

    Month 1
    10 push ups. 3 sets

    Month 2
    15 push ups. 3 sets

Etc etc etc. I increased every month, keeping it slow to ensure I maintained. No matter how tired, before bed they had to be done.

Apart from a week off while on holiday I've kept to it I'm proud to say. I've capped it to 40x3 and the moobs are history (and have been for ages). When I get home later I'll post a pic :)

PS - I am very aware many people deem it stupid to do the same exercise every day, due to muscle recovery issues. Might sound dumb but I felt that if I got in the habit of skipping days I wouldn't keep it up 100%.

Ha, ha..I am happy you got rid of your moobs :) Do you do anything else or only focus on push-ups?

Initially it was solely push ups. Outside of martial arts the only other exercise I do is jogging.
