Freedom

Hello all,
As I've started this journey, I find that there are reasons I eat that are not at all related to hunger. I'm sure this surprises none of you, but I'm really trying to take a look at why I eat and if there is some emotional/mental reason that I am invested in having a "larger self". I can go an entire day eating well and then sabotage myself at night. I find that when I eat protein I have better days and crave sugar less. Has anyone given up coffee (I like mine sweetened with cream) on their journey? I've considered it, although I love it. Sugar makes you crave sugar, so I know it can be a set up. I've lost about 24lbs so far (some before starting myfitnesspal) but have about 40 or more to go. On the days I do well, I feel a freedom of not focusing so much on food- like having a dinner party and either not making dessert at all or making one that I don't like. I'd love to hear your thoughts and what works well for you (particularly if you have a sweet tooth or when you socialize / party or going out for dinner with others).
Take care!
