I just read about an old school cleanse

How do you take it? You are burned with a smouldering vine, then the poison is applied to your flesh.
Ouch, sounds painful. Then what happens? You vomit. And, if you believe advocates of kambo, it can cleanse you and relieve pain.
Anything specific I should be taking kambo for? Despite a lack of evidence, advocates claim it is good for pretty much anything, with depression and impotence often cited.
Well, "despite a lack of evidence" sounds pretty familiar, and I thought people might get a laugh at this.

Haha. Yikes. Usually my go to for knowing whether something is psuedo-science or not is looking at the health benefits. if the list is longer than your arm, it's usually crap. Take a health benefit every celebrity/blog poster has ever said about it Nd put it in a list, thats a good idea... just because something contains a trace amount of a chemical that is thought to lower heart disease does not mean it has the benefit of lowering heart disease! Bahh!
Why do people feel the need to go back to medieval time "medicine"? If only they knew how many people died because of lack of modern medicine...3 -
I think vomiting will indeed make it look like you've lost some weight (temporarily). The only indigenous medicinal thing I've ever wanted to try is chewing coca leaves for that extra energy burst. I don't really like the idea of putting burning chemicals on my skin, especially since I think I'd eventually end up going to the doctor to figure out how to cure the burns and the infections.0

Ewww! If I want to vomit out a cleanse, I'll just drink some heavily salted water, so much cheaper
I'm wondering how many people thought "The heck with this whole burning vine thing, I'll just put a few drops in my water!" and then I'm wondering what happened
