My pediatrician recommended that we cut a lot of carbs from my 3-year-olds diet. He is a big boy and will have issues later on with his weight(it runs in the family.

A snack could be celery with a hummus dip, a mustard dip, or a yoghurt dip. Maybe some popcorn popped on a stove with no oil. Another low fat low carb option would be unflavoured rice cakes with different toppings. Carrots and apples are a great snack he could get used to. Cutting up the carrots into smaller pieced or even dipping them in something might make it more fun for him to eat. As for meals, try to increase protien and vegetable intake. Lunches could be chicken thighs or breasts with lots of salad and greens. Maybe some sauteed vegetables with tomato sauce like bell peppers, green beans, carrots.. etc. Broccoli is great vegetable to incorporate in many of his meals. Youtube can help alot with recipe ideas! Hope I somewhat inspired u!0
