Weight gain after eating rice and pasta?

I’ve noticed that the day after I eat rice or pasta that I gain like 2lbs and it’s everytime I eat it. After eating it im also really bloated and my stomach is hard. Does anyone else get this? Should I cut back on the amount I’m eating

It's just daily fluctuations + water retention. That could be normal weight fluctuation after ingesting higher carbohydrate foods. It should dissipate in a couple days.

Sometimes eating a large amount of carbs can lead to a brief increase in water retention. Also, until you pass the items through you, you could have an increase weight from waste as well.

If they are making you feel uncomfortable, I would limit them. But I wouldn't worry so much about the temporary gain on the scale. That's not fat.

All the time. And now I know what causes the weight increase, I just continue on my journey.
I love pasta and rice. A 0.5-1kg water-weight increase from it is the sacrifice I am willing to make to include the yummy-ness in my life

I eat lots of potatoes, pasta, rice and other high carb foods on high carb days. Sometimes, the following day, my weight is up and sometimes it isn’t. I feel best when getting 60 percent (plus or minus) of my calories from carbs.

^^^^^ what others said about it will pass so when it’s pasta time, mangia mangia!

Same here. Carbs stick on me, thankfully it’s just water weight so don’t worry too much.
