So hungry today

I had a bad day yesterday, I drew a line and started again today but I am so so hungry. I have eaten so much fruit and veg today in order to stop me picking but my stomach is still growling. I'm drinking water like it's going out of style aswell so I know I'm not thirsty. I'm resorting to a glass of diet coke (I dont normally drink it) to try and fill me up a bit longer. Counting down the minutes until dinner time. So am I extra hungry because of the crap I ate yesterday?

    Have you had any protein today? Or fat? That helps me feel full. I feel like I'm hungry all the time if I only eat fruits and vegetables too.

    Probably. I ate a bit higher than normal on Sunday (catfish fillet yum seconds please) and yesterday my stomach growled until about 4 in the afternoon. I had my regular breakfast and a sensible lunch. I did have a snack at 4, and then dinner later. Just gotta push through...I feel back to normal today.

    I'm thinking my evening meal should have been my lunch as it would have filled me up much better. Ah well. I'll know for next time (or make sure there isn't a next time)

    Protein, fat, and fiber help keep me full. For some people it can be just protein ...... not me. I can have a ton of protein & be hungry fairly soon. Also, water doesn't help either...... I drink it just fine, but it's not filling.

    I try to hit at least 2 of those things with meals and snacks.

    Examples:

    Breakfast: High fiber cereal mixed into greek yogurt OR Oatmeal (made with milk) add a sprinkle of walnuts

    Snack: Apple slices with peanut butter, OR string cheese and grapes

    Lunch: Salad with grilled chicken & light (not fat free) dressing OR Turkey & cheese on whole wheat

    Keep mixing it up to find what works for you. Make the most out of what calories you do get ..... whole foods vs. processed.

    I had 1 slice wheat toast for breakfast with peanut butter, Jacket potato and salad for lunch. Snacks have been string cheese, 2 snack sausages, grapes and strawberries. I'll try and look at what keeps me fuller for longer and make a note for days like today! Thank you!
