Low carb / Keto

I’m not sure what I’m trying to do, I used to do Keto but would rather not go back to that. But I would like to try low carb.
Can anyone help with what they eat a day, or what kind of recipes you have that make this easier and more enjoyable?

Should try a slight caloric deficit, just eat below your maintenance; and enjoy some carbs that you like. You don’t have to give up foods you enjoy to lose weight, just have to be below maintenance. Try getting a tasty protein powder, like a blend or isolate, which has low fats and carbs. Mix that in with some oats and berries, a banana, with some peanut butter. So tasty, good luck!

How low are you thinking? Keto is a subset of low carb.

I eat moderate to low carb quite often (have done around 100 g, as well as other levels) and there are no special foods. It's just eliminating the starch course at some meals and having more protein, fat, and veg, or else keeping the starch course smaller and increasing portions of other things -- I eat lots of veg always, so larger portions of protein, fattier sources (maybe 3 eggs instead of 2 or whole fat dairy if that's not your norm), somewhat more cheese or nuts and seeds, avocado, no need to worry about calorie room when eating chicken with skin on it, olives, dressings with olive oil -- I find that lowering the carbs when on a deficit just means I have more room to include some higher fat foods. What foods is going to depend on preference.

Easiest way to eat low carb is to track your food so you know how many carbs you’re eating (maybe under 100g per day) and avoid or minimise high GI/GL foods like sugar, bread, potatoes, pasta, cake, biscuits, juice, etc.

Can cook most normal meals but just remove or substitute the starch. E.g can cook steak and vegetables without the potatoes, or make spaghetti bolognaise but use zucchini spirals instead of pasta, cook a curry and serve with cauliflower rice instead of real rice, eat salad for lunch instead of a sandwich.

Increase other vegetable intake, and eat to a calorie deficit.
