Can MFP make it any harder to track net carbs?! Geez. The tracker is better than LifeSum, but I was hoping that purchasing the premium MFP app would let me better customize. Not the case. Anyone else frustrated with this??

I think it would be awesome if there was an option to track total net carbs. I'm not so much frustrated with it since Keto is just getting super popular so MFP has some catching up to do.8

MFP is for tracking calories in vs calories out. Net carbs, ketosis, etc don't have any actual affect on that or weight loss. So I see why it is not a very high priority for them.22

Figuring net carbs on your own is quite easy - just subtract fiber grams from carb grams. The result is net carbs.12

MFP is not a keto focused website-it's based on tracking CICO.9

keto is the current dieting craze and will fade away as soon as the next new craze comes along, (there's already an uptick in threads of people who've tried keto and have dropped it).
I've been on and off of this site for years now and have seen quite a few of these types of plans come and go. MFP is still going strong and will most likely still be around long after keto fades out.

Sounds promising, it has tough competition though, with the celery juice diet. That one is already off to a great start.

Not clear on how it's hard. Track carbs, track fiber, do the subtraction in your head.
Given the size of the MFP database and that most countries other than the US and Canada don't include fiber in carbs, seems a better option than pretending to be able to figure net carbs automatically in a reliable way. Also, I think fiber is an important thing to see, so tracking carbs and fiber was always important to me, and the math was easy and automatic.
I really don't understand why this isn't sufficient -- never crossed my mind that it wasn't when I tried out keto.7 -
Pen & paper work just find...kids these days want technology to do everything for him/her...even simple addition/subtraction9

It's your carbohydrates minus fiber, I don't know how it could be easier without MFP literally doing the calculation for you.3

There is a script or browser add on that does this, I can't recall the name...maybe check keto subreddit?1

Yeah, there is a thing you can download for Chrome. I tried keto for a week. Try the keto subreddit.0
