Aromatase Inhibitors (Femara) & Weight Gain/Loss

Hi, I've been taking Femara for about 18 months now and am finding it hard to lose the excess weight that previous breast cancer treatments (surgery, chemo and radiotherapy) resulted in.
I'm wondering if it's the pills?
Does anyone else have any weight issues on these tablets?

I have been on Femara for one year. Everything was fine for the first six months, but then I quickly gained 10 lbs. I retired last May and am taking better care of myself than I ever have. I exercise 1 hour a day for 5 days a week, track my food, get plenty of rest. I have been doing low carb (just staying under 50 grams) for about a year and a half with my husband. His doctor recommended it for him for inflammation due to back pain. It has helped him. I lost ten pounds on it and felt really good, then had this sudden gain after six months on Femara. I started on Qysmia a little less than two weeks ago and have gained .2 of a pound. I have struggled with my weight since my second pregnancy 26 years ago! I even had a gastric band in 2010. I am so depressed about this weight gain. All my clothes are so tight. I can't imagine how much weight I might gain after taking the Femara for four more years! I signed up for MFP today because the low carb isn't working for me anymore. Hoping this helps me.

I've only been tracking my calories for 19 days (MFP set at 1250) but I'd lost 10lbs by day 15. I'm going to weigh-in today so I'll see if any more has come off.
I knew I was eating over what I needed but not too much, I don't think. After all my treatments I did get bigger but I thought it would eventually come off. No such luck 😢
I don't know about you but I've still got chronic fatigue and arthritis like pain all over my body so exercising is not top of my agenda. Although, being on 1250 calories has spurred me on to do more walking just so I can maybe eat an extra apple or some yoghurt when I'm really hungry 😁
