Polar FT80 any good?

I've been contemplating on buying a HRM and I stumbled upon the Polar FT7 and the Polar FT80. I'm also in the market for a new watch as I broke all of mine accidentally and the FT80 looks killer in my eyes, so that justifies the price. How useful will this HRM be with cardio and strength training? Can you add your own training program so that you just load a pre-defined workout and press "Start"? In my country the FT80 is about $460 with the chest strap and the FlowLink.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

My fiance bought me the FT80 in secret! I got it on Friday and I've tested it for both strength and cardio training - works perfect. Love it! :-)0
