I quit with Chantix but do not take it on an empty stomach. I use Pretzel Sticks to stay quit. It gives my hands and mouth something to do. I tried other things to quit and failed but I quit in 6 weeks with Chantix. I have not smoked in about 4 years. I did gain a lot of weight as I focused on quitting and not diet so I am working on that now. Good Lucl0

I also vape now. It’s been 6 years since I had a cigarette. It was a slow transition. I vaped and smoked together for a little bit until I gave up cigarettes completely. I realize how much better I felt not smoking cigarettes. I still vape but lost 56 pounds now. I exercise 5 days a week at gym. I’m usually the one in the parking lot at gym vaping as soon as I get into the car 😂 I used to have asthma but no longer do. You will realize how disgusting cigarettes are once you quit! The smell of them now to me is horrific! I can’t believe I used to smell that bad. Try it. It became a fun hobby for me. I enjoy the fun flavors now. Good luck on however you quit.1

Good news, bad news. I quit seven years ago. Yes, vaping helped, but my husband had spent a month in the hospital and kind of had to quit. That made it easier for me.
Bad news...it's why I'm here. Food never tasted so good and I gained a ton of weight. Exercise was not a part of my life then.
Back to the good news. I can breathe! I run for an hour most days. No smoker's cough. I bought a house with the money I saved. My house is clean - no nasty smoke film on everything.
Keep in mind, the nicotine leaves your body/system in three days. Don't waste money on the patches or the gums. Find something for your hands and mouth to do. "Smoke" a carrot, twiddle your fingers. Walk, walk, walk.
Btw, I am 60 and started smoking when I was 14. If I can quit, so can you!1 -
I recently quit using vaping. I started with q smok vape pen 22. I started at 24 nic and slowly stepped down by 2 nic every 2 weeks. I used a local vape shop to mix the numbers that weren't pre made. At the higher levels the nicotine is very peppery flavored. As you step down your palate will change. I was also advised because at this time there is not much science out on the affects of these chemicals to keep switching the flavors so the chemicals change. There were times where I needed to pause the descent. I am now at 6 months vaping 1.5 and the next stop is zero. I gained 35 pounds. I was always lower end of my bmi. Now I'd be satisfied just taking 15 of it back off. It's not easy and honestly subtition was the only way I could wean myself off the more dangerous addiction. Good luck to you!!!2
