Do people who have a fitbit use it linked to MFP to track exercise or do you prefer to have it disconnected and enter any exercise manually to MFP

Mine is connected to MFP. I don’t enter anything manually.0

Connected. So much easier that way.0

I have my Fitbit connected and just let it make the necessary adjustments. This is the best way to utilize the technology, as what the Fitbit shows as the calories burned during exercise includes what you would have burned during that time if you weren't exercising.
For example, I just exercised for an hour and Fitbit says I burned 256 calories. If I were just sitting around for that hour, I may have only burned 56 calories, so the 256 is actually 56 bmr + 200 burned by exercising. If I put in 256 exercise calories on MFP and eat all of them back, I'm overeating by 56 calories that were already accounted for in the calorie allotment MFP gave me. This is why some people wonder why their Fitbit adjustment is less than what they burned during exercise.2
