MFP is DESIGNED for you to eat them back. otherwise you are under eating.

Hell yes! Every single calorie. But I should add that I don't use the MFP calculations, they're just too over inflated for me.1

Yep. Mfp’s calories ended up spot on for me with my elliptical and lifting. I eat them all and hit my goals with no issues.1

I rarely eat it back.5

All the way through nearly a year of weight loss (around 50 pounds) and for around 3 years of maintenance since, after estimating them carefully.6

I don't directly eat them back now because I am using the TDEE method to set my goals, which factors in my exercise directly into my daily goal. But it's important to note that this still takes into account the exercise I do. If you are using MFP calculations for your goal, you need to eat back your exercise calories, because your exercise is not accounted for in your goal.2
