Apparently I joined this website/app in 2012 when I was on Medifast. I only logged a day's worth of meals.
I was successful with Medifast in that I lost about 80lbs and kept if off for about 5 years after I quit buying their foods. Then a physical injury, a divorce and menopause all hit me at the same time and I gained most of that 80lbs back in less than a year.
Emotionally, I'm in a good place; I enjoy life. Physically, I'd like to get some of that weight off and re-gain my physical health.
I don't think my diet is horrible, but my eating habits are (skipping meals, drinking too much alcohol, eating almost all of my calories in the evenings). I made some changes to put more caloric intake earlier in the day and I'm going to cut way back on alcohol--no more drink every evening. I'm going to try to cut out (or cut back) the 1-2 nights/week of eating out and add more fresh produce to my diet.
I'm doing a combination of what was working for me post-Medifast (that did not include a lot of fresh food) and incorporating fresh, whole foods into my diet.
So here I am on Day #2 of a long journey.

You can do this. You don't need medifast. I like your start ... small changes. Keep building on these small changes, adding (or subtracting) things a bit at a time as you learn what works for you.
I would also suggest looking through the challenges and groups to find one that has been ongoing for awhile and join it for accountability and support. ("Friends" are good too, although too often they disappear, where the ongoing forums tend to be more self-perpetuating.)
Best wishes on your journey.1 -
Thank you!
I took pictures of myself this time, so I'll have something to reference as time goes by. I took my measurements as well. I don't have a scale, but I'm not letting that stop me from moving forward. I'll pick up a scale the next time I go shopping.0
