I'm 5'3", 112 pounds, and my maintenance calories are 2000 to 2300 daily, so I'd say 2700 doesn't seem like a lot. However what is your weight goal? Maintenance? Loss? If it's losing weight, what's your aimed for rate of loss per week?

Doesn't sound a lot to me to achieve a reasonable rate of weight loss with your stats and activity level - after a month of eating at that level you will have a much better idea and be able to amend your goal up or down if required.

Nope I'd say that's probably just right. I'm 5'8" 235lbs and female and lose weight on around 2300-2400 gross cals per day in a desk job without adding any exercise, with exercise, I can lose on around 2800 on an active day.

Best way is to try it for around 4 weeks and see.
