Net calories chart with a weight overlay

Options
Does anybody know if there is a way to do this?  I want either calories consumed with weight or net calories (consumed - burned) with weight.

I don't think there's an automatic way, but you can build out your own in Excel -- it would take a while to get all of the retrospective data, but would be easy to update once you're done.

Not in premium either. Excel. Maybe do by week rather than day so there would be way fewer entries.

Are you talking about something like the overly elaborate spreadsheet I was circulating a while back (example data points belong to an MFP friend):

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VDmqNpLPu7sbQSochUJNXdp2F7AN15AGgkvS3zLw1GU/edit?usp=sharing

All you would need for net calories would be to add a column that deducts D from C

However I've since moved to a much more "summary" treatment instead of entering daily tracking data...

grab 30 days of MFP data for calories in *using: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/reports/printable_diary*

grab 30 day of Fitbit calories out (second page of fitbit web with flash graph of your expenditures during the past 30 days--the import from mfp for the calories in on the same graph is not always 100% trustworthy without editing to remove doubles, hence I prefer to get the data directly from MFP. OR. use https://www.fitbit.com/settings/data/export for your fitbit calories out)

use trendweight.com (in my case since it is connected to fitbit) and look at the trending weight difference between starting and ending points...alternatively get the info from happy scale or libra.

Use 3500 Cal per lb of change (simplified)....

should give you a good idea where you're heading.

You mean my daily seven-column Excel sheet *may* be overkill?

    ssshhh.

    Never! Data are our friend.

This is exactly what I needed in my life! I plugged in the last 30 days of info (the amount of time I’ve been diligent about logging) and I got so many answers :)

I tend to track all the data points and then don’t do anything with them to get meaningful conclusions.

    Thanks!
