Hi
My Dr and Nurse made a big deal today over my weight loss of 10 lbs in 4 months. 4 lbs since I started MFP diary 2 weeks ago. We discussed my goal to lose another 20 to get a bmi of 25. I left there feeling totally confident I could do it. I didn't expect their enthusiasm, but it made my day.
I started by spacing my meals 4-6 hours apart which helped me learn to endure some hunger. I tried Slimfast for lunch and do that most days so I can have 500-600 calories for dinner (of 1200). I stepped up swimming, walking, weights to 5-6 days s week. When I hit my goal I will have lost 65 lbs over almost 3 years. MFP is so much improved from when I tried it 5 years ago.
I have lots of clothes I bought assuming I'd lose weight instead of gain. Can't wait to fit in them!

Great job! I'm sure the doctors and nurses see people everyday with weight-related troubles who have made no progress, and it can become frustrating, so to see someone have success would be very motivating for them to keep going in encouraging people to lose weight as well.1

It’s fun shocking The doctors! My sleep doctor said he’d had 3-4 patients in 30 years who lost enough weight to cure sleep apnea. It’s that rare in medical practice.1
