Marco help and calorie intake

So I have started a macro based diet and I am having a hard time meeting my calorie intake which is 1,425 and my break down is 178 carbs, 89 protein, 40 fat. I have noticed that I have been going over a lot on Fats and protein and never reaching my carbs. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I do work a third shift schedule so I think that as a little to do with me never reaching my calorie goal but I’m never starving. It’s been three weeks and Fats are always over and crabs are never reached. Help!

There is no wrong, only what is right for you. The "numbers" are a starting point, from an online calculator based on info you provide. What are you trying to acomplish?

I literally have the SAME ISSUE !
I will reach my protein or go over my protein by lunch. And still have a lot of calories to go plus so much carbs that I have to reach.
I've been doing this for 5 days and haven't reached my calories / carbs :(

Initially (nearly a year ago) I started with the same idea: I set myself macro targets because I heard somewhere that "that's the right way to eat your food." However this might be the main problem why so many people stop with their healthy meal plans after a couple of months. Over time my macros changed from 20% carbs, 40 % fat, 40 % protein to about 30 % carbs and 35 % each fat and protein. This seems to be the perfect mix for my daily meal plan. No cravings, no binge eating - my food is varied and I can accommodate if I like something different once in a while. In general I trust my MFP calculations and stick to their daily calorie goal. Macros percentages seem to be such an individual thing, we all have to find our own ideal compositions.

@kristenhartman2015 I set my carbs to 100g. Anything above that and I lose control of my blood sugar. After that I search for micronutrients. Potassium, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and the like. Fat and protein seem to fall into place. I eat 98% one ingredient foods. I eat 2 - 3 times a day, depending on how busy I get. Mostly I eat less. It's always a struggle to eat "enough" calories because what I eat fills me up.

I consider the numbers generated by the online calculator to be just a recommended starting point, not MY goals. I don't care if I "hit the numbers", as long as I reach MY goals.

You have to determine what your own numbers should be based on what you want to accomplish, and eat accordingly.

Do you use a food scale to insure you are actually eating the amount of calories you think you are?
