The best job in the world!!!
I have worked at many jobs in my time and am happy with my life now as a `trader`
Have worked in a psychiatric unit in the past to fulfill my diplomas as a psychologist.
My question is what is the best job in the world? Did you train for it or just happen upon it or have you not found the best job in the world?

as an undergrad I got paid one summer to collect "control largemouth bass" for one of my professor's experiments. I got paid minimum wage and expenses for doing what I would have done that summer anyway.0

Is that fish? What did you have to do for that????0 -
My best job ever was a summer I did work for the USFS in Southeastern Idaho near Bear Lake. I was given a cabin to share with a friend, and we were given meals. They paid us to walk through the forests of the Cache national forest up and down mountains, with a bullhorn, a tape of a male goshawk call, and a GPS unit to locate and waypoint all the active goshawk nests. Got some great trout fishing in on our downtime, saw some great sights, and spent all of our days outdoors.0

If someone has to do it then it might as well be you?0 -
I dont know about the best jobs but the funnest job I ever had was a research assistant in the Fulani Village of Nigeria measuring the nutritional status of children. The mountain plateau states of Nigeria are gorgeous, the people are beautiful, and this kids are about the cutest things around.
I was also fortunate enough to watch a live birth in their birthing ward.
Oh and the coolest thing I ever got to do while working was be witness to an open heart surgery. That was amazing seeing the patient the next day alive and awake when just the previous day his heart had been stopped.0 -

Sounds a lot like some of the jobs I got for my work study: Boating the Snake River looking for the Pleistocene Snail, Vegetation surveys to check the impact of grazing on public lands, electrofishing high mountain lakes to see how the population was recovering after an accident.0 -

That sounds like an awesome experience and getting paid for it also yay!0 -
PS the best job is no job. Independently wealthy and the ability to travel the world0

I really like the one I have now..
I used to work in healthcare but then somehow ended up working for the world's largest retailer home office managing inventory flow for several different categories over the years...
Left there and went to work for a brokerage firm (currently here) where I do replenishment analytics for clients that are trying to grow their business with various retailers. I love what I do!!!!
Plus I teach Zumba so it is pretty fun shaking my groove thang!0 -

Intriguing job! I hate snails have had to put all my plants out of the way cos of my dog. But it is so nice that people look after the little critters and research them0 -
Im a student nurse and I have to say it is the best, but one of the toughest jobs i have ever done! physically, mentally and emotionally challenging but well worth it! I also got to see a hip replacement which was pretty cool!0

^^This. It can non-rewarding, tiring, frustrating, annoying and several other things, but still one of the best jobs in the world, because you can see the most outstanding and cutest results right in front of you:flowerforyou:0 -
Best job I ever had was driving a horse and carriage for Santa - all the kids were so excited, and I got all the mince pies I could eat. Burned 'em all off, too - boy, was it cold out there.0

I had a summer job once where we sampled the crops that farmers would bring into a big warehouse. We had to suit up in a respirator because you weren't allowed to breath the stuff in. The job itself wasn't that great but because of the suiting up we would wait until about 5-6 trucks had come in. While we were waiting we would sit around getting paid to watch DVDs. Our record was about 4 in one shift. Pretty cruisy.
Once my Dad worked as the Santa in the local shopping centre. Not sure how it was for him but he used to bring home a big sack of candy every night which was pretty sweet (pun intended) for us kids. I was about 9 or 10 at the time0 -
