Loose weight or drastically shorten your life

Those were my drs words to me.
I’ve just had the mirina coil fitted due to health problems and been told it can increase weight gain. And my dr told me that I need to start loosing or my life will be drastically shortened.
So weighing in at my all time high of 301.2 lbs its time to make a change. I’ve never felt so worthless or scared for my life.
I’ve tried slimming world but I always seem to have either dramatic losses (13.5lbs in my first week) or dramatic gains (14lb gain after 1 week off plan).
When I was younger my dad and I did calorie counting and it seemed to work for me. I was averaging out at a 2kg loss per week and made it down to a size 12 so I’ve logged back on to my fitness pal to do it again.
I want to eat to live and at the moment I’m living to eat.
So any support would be greatly appreciated or advice, tips and tricks and here’s hoping this time is the time I don’t give up.

Welcome!
I'm on a different but similar journey. I am trying to reorient myself to eating to live! My C-Reactive protein is high and that is a major contributor to heart disease which is what killed my mother in my house. I'm trying to lose weight and bring my blood work into line through diet and exercise.
I know we both can do it!0 -
Hiya sent a request. I am on anti-depressants AND birth control so I know the feels like fighting an uphill battle. But I am aware that I need to be stricter with myself. Good luck and I look forward to sharing motivation!0

I would start with a Registered dietician and a Mental Health professional (MHP). I suggest the MHP so you can figure out why you are comforting yourself with food. In my case it was because of something that happened to me in my youth. Just a suggestion. Good luck. God speed.0
