I know when it’s that TOM you can gain water weight and this may be a stupid question but can you also gain inches around your waist during that week? Also, how long does it take for that weight to fall off

Yes, it's just bloating. Pants that fit perfectly other times might be uncomfortable for me those few days. Funnily, I can never noticed or else didn't have this problem when I was overweight.
My TOM water weight usually peaks around cycle day 2, slowly inches down the next few days, and then whooshes to reveal a new low. It's a very clear pattern so I don't sweat it.3 -
Same here, peaks around CD2, then a whoosh around 3-4.
I never noticed it when I was heavier either, I guess the water had more places to spread out, or there was more cushion over the reproductive organs.1 -
Yup my lower abdomen rounds out a little more and will feel harder to the touch
I'm generally pretty heavy the first couple days, once it lightens up the bloat goes back down1 -
I only have 2-3 day periods and I definitely bloat up starting 1-2 days before. I don’t even bother trying to wear certain outfits. They won’t fit. Within 24hr of my period ending it’s all back to normal.
I’ve noticed lately that when I ovulate I actually swell up even more. This didn’t used to happen. Now I will gain as much as 10lb for a few days and a full cup size on my bust. That last part could be nice accept that they become rock hard and very painful.1 -

Same here, definitely didn't notice it until I had lost a decent amount of weight. Might just be hyperfocus on the body causing it, or it might be that it's just easier to notice a bump on a flatter surface, lol.0 -

Could also have something to do with the fact that my clothes were either already snug, or stretchy, back then0 -

This is me, too! Ovulation and period weeks!

Clearly less than a month
It's temporary bloating. Just factor it into your natural rhythm.0
