Wrecked metabolism?!

Hello everyone. I turned thirty last month and prior to my birthday I went through an extremely stressful time which led to losing a lot of weight off an already thin frame. Well now that the stress is better the weight has come back plus some. I keep gaining weight even though I’m tracking a very healthy diet with slight calorie deficits and exercising daily. I’m so discouraged to be working hard at this but still seeing numbers go up on the scale. Beyond that, I hate the way I’m looking. Did the stress destroy my metabolism? Is this just being thirty where I have to be ultra strict about eating anything? Help!!
