So I just started back up and I have seen an incremental loss of 1.8lbs. Most people typically have large initial losses... I know they’re water weight losses but I’m super bummed because I could REALLY use the starting push to feel successful. Anyone else experience this?

One week. However that was my first with with exercise 4 days a week and modifying my calorie intake to 1400.

1.8 pounds in a week isn't bad, and you're probably retaining water from the new exercise. Stick with it, this is a marathon, not a sprint.6

1.8 lbs is not an "incremental" loss. For the vast majority of people, it would be quite substantial to the point of too aggressive.
I understand you expected a big water weight drop, but not everyone experiences that. People who have a significant water weight drop often are starting at a higher weight or have made a big change in the make-up of their diet (i.e., slashed carbs). Also, if you just started exercising, your body will be retaining water for muscle repair, and that will offset some of the water weight loss. I would say you've had a very successful first week.5 -

This isn't biggest loser, 1.8lbs is a good rate of loss.7 -
That is about what I am averaging also. But what I also do is take measurements ; bicep, thigh, waist chest/bust, and hips are the main ones. I take these once a month and have lost almost 3 inches overall. Measurements are a more accurate gauge to getting in better shape I think.
Keep it up and you will get there!0 -
Consider this- those who experience a big initial drop in water weight are often back on here in the following week or two wondering why they aren't continuing to lose, because their ongoing fat loss is being masked by that initial (misleading) drop on the scale.5

1.8lbs in a week? The only thing wrong is your expectations. Be happy, that's good progress!3
