Incremental losses initially... not large water weight losses.

So I just started back up and I have seen an incremental loss of 1.8lbs. Most people typically have large initial losses... I know they’re water weight losses but I’m super bummed because I could REALLY use the starting push to feel successful. Anyone else experience this?

yeah i never did a huge woosh at the begining and many others post about not having it or losing any weight the first 2 weeks.

it may also depend on starting point. someone with well over 100lbs to lose may get more wooshing (large initial loss) VS someone looking to lose 10-30lbs.

trust the process. plus, 2lbs is actually a solid rate. Remember water fluctuates daily, monthly for most women and if you started to exercise more/new exercise your muscles may be retaining extra water to repair themselves.

I wish I had a woosh too, but if you look at your measurements, you might notice a difference there. I did with my belly measurements.

Or try this- you have in fact been successful. Letting our brains turn actual success into feelings of failure is a significant problem in weight loss. Face it, if you string enough 1.8 lb losses together you will get to your goal. Same is true for 1lb or even .5lb losses. It’s just a matter of time.

If you truly want lasting weight loss, how long it takes to get to goal doesn’t count for much. How do like your life getting that 1.8 loss? Can you live like that long term? Don’t let your brain wreck you over the time factor. Push back. It’s working.
