Why didn’t my Fitbit recognize my exercise?

I have a Fitbit charge 3.

This morning I did 30 mins of circuit training - my heart rate was definitely raised for at least part of the time! The Fitbit says I have zero mins of exercise. Yesterday it says I did 24 mins - I think maybe when I was vacuuming!

Is this normal? Will the Fitbit allot me more calories burned because my heart rate was raised for the time I was circuit training? Or do I get no “credit” for it?

Why didn't you start the exercise mode?

Your HR has to be continuously elevated or you have to be continuously moving for a certain amount of time for it to auto detect. The minimum is 10 mins, but the default setting might be 15 or 20 mins.

Circuit training I am going to guess you had periods where your HR dropped and you weren’t moving much. You can put your Fitbit into exercise mode to get an exercise log for it.

Vacuuming I would guess that resulted in continuous movement for 24 mins.

Yes you still got credit for the workout. It just didn’t create a log for it under the exercise area.
