Tips on night time and weekend snacking

I think the weekends at night and the week days nights are sabotaging my weight loss. I feel so in control in the morning and afternoons but after dinner I feel hungry and want to snack and on weekends I love to go out to eat with my kids and I like to order what I want. I am allowing myself a treat meal on the weekends of what ever I want but I think it’s the two things I have mentioned is what’s stopping me from losing anymore weight. On a positive note I’ve stared a challenge on my IG where I’m committed to tracking my calories for 21 days and I have to post for 21 days and stay in a deficit. I messed up a bit last night but for the last 3 days I’ve been good. I did lose 62 pounds in 11 months but since then I haven’t been able to shed the last 10-15 pounds I would like to lose. I workout 4-5 times a week focusing on strength training because I just love it. I’ve been sitting between 151-155 for about 15 months and would like to get to 135-140. Any advice to help work craving, hunger and snacking as well as going out to eat? I’m ready to get the scale moving again in the right direction.

Night time craving, go to bed. Work craving, immerse yourself in your work with laser-like concentration. I believe intensity can only be applied to one area at a time. This is what I do now being very busy with work. Good luck.2

I’ve had the same challenges in the past. Here’s what’s worked for me. For the night time snack: when I started to feel like I was hungry for a snack I mixed up a quick protein shake and added a scoop of powdered PB2. That usually worked well. In a pinch you could always drink a full glass of water whenever you felt hungry at night. I still to enjoy going out to eat with my family but I am very selective of what I order. Instead of the prime rib I order the sirloin steak. Plain baked potato and broccoli rather then fries and a salad with ranch dressing. I still get to enjoy eating out but don’t have to compromise my nutrition plan. I also pre plan when I go out to eat by reviewing the menu and nutrition information before I even get there so there is no need for me to look at all the other less healthy options. Also I have learned to enjoy cooking at home which is by far less expensive then eating out and also gives me more control of my daily caloric intake. Hope this help. Feel free to add me.1
