Does anyone have a special piece of clothing they want to fit into?

I've got a nice fleece- outdoor jacket for walking (hiking) that is still very serviceable but no longer fits around my hips/posterior.
That's aside from the UK size 10 haul that I bought off ebay. Don't do that. Folks here pointed out that I hadn't considered the fit might not be as expected so I should have hung fire. I was a bit too keen.

Several boxes actually.
But I can relate. I have a hiking rain jacket that I bought about 2 years ago. I could zip it but it was tight through the chest. I put it on for the first time this season the other day and it was so roomy. Really made my day.

I have a whole closet I outgrew in the last 2 years. Going on vacation in a few weeks and need to buy a whole new wardrobe... that sucks1

A whole wardrobe of sports wear that I could fit in to 10 years ago when I was serious about running. Some really nice training tops, t-shirts and a Gore running jacket. I can't wait :-)3

I "gave up" on being thin about 2 years ago and gave all my size small and medium clothing to my 10 year old niece. I have a couple of nice jackets that I kept--mostly because they were expensive that I'd like to utilize again.3

I’d like to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans again. I’m about 6lbs away from that mini goal and 20lbs away from my end goal. I think I might buy a nice dress 2 sizes smaller than my current size, just to give me some extra motivation. Hopefully I’ll be able to fit into it soon!
Keep up the hard work and I hope you fit into that fleece comfortably very soon.4 -
2 pairs of pants that I bought last summer (in August to be exact). They no longer fit. Not sure how far I am from that goal, as I reached where I thought I needed to be. But they still don’t fit. So, I m thinking I just need to lose some inches. It’ll happen.3

i have a couple of XL things I wish I still fit into . . . but not so much that I'm willing to gain the weight back on in order to enable that. The previous round of thin was pretty much too many decades ago (3? 4? decades) to have any sensible hold-overs. I lost right through a couple of nice things from earlier middle-weight years without realizing it, though.5

I am getting closer to fitting into this vintage dress - when I got it, it was only a bit tight around the waist. Some time later I had gained weight and could not zip it shut. Now I can zip it shut but the waist is tight. Almost there though!

my entire uniform! LOL1

My entire closet is full of pretty clothes that i kept on buying hoping to fit into them. I told myself no more buying clothes until i actually fit into the size im buying. Sucks that I don't have nice clothes to wear now. I have a closet full for the thinner me though 😅🤦🏻♀️2

This is mildly embarrassing to admit...but my prom dress. It's been in the back of my closet for a long time. I don't wanna wear it in public, I just wanna be able to zip it up!8

What spurred me on to get my diet and exercise routine sorted was a rather nice suit I bought for a friends wedding. On the actual day it was freakishly hot for that time of year, so I never got to wear it. A year later, and I couldn't to the thing up!
I've lost enough weight that it now fits, a pound or two more and it will fit comfortably. Then I've just got to get maintenance sorted, and I can buy another suit of the same size for my own wedding in 17 months!6 -
Somebody flagged my post as spam?? I'm not selling this dress. You can't have it!11

I have a pair of Spongebob pj bottoms that says size xxl and while some might think thats still.big they look more like for a Xl-L3

I have a long black dress with yellow & green floral design on it...it's very 2017 with prairie style ruffles and kind of too "fancy" for everyday (even for a huge dress fan). It fits but it doesn't look great. It's kind of tight through my belly and hips. I would like to wear it eventually, when it fits more loosely in those areas, but honestly not enough to really motivate me. I am in between sizes and have been for years as I am pretty much maintaining my loss...this dress is a 10 but fits a little more like an 8, which I'm not.2

...I have this purple Jimi Hendrix inspired purple jacket with brass buttons that i bought at a thrift store years ago, that didn't fit then, but definitely fits now. I thought, and it absolutely is cool... but now that it fits, I legitimately cannot think of a possibly place I could actually wear it and that makes me kind of sad because i think its awesome.4

I have a bunch of old t-shirts, button up shirts, and nice/dress shirts in my closet I would really like to get back into. We'll see...4

While not specifically bought smaller, I ordered some interesting graphic t-shirts online, but the sizing turned out to be in junior, so they're too small. Hopefully, I will fit into them next summer.3

I have the whole of my old wardrobe waiting to be worn again. I need to drop about 3 dress sizes to get there.2

Update- I got into those pants last night! Buttoned and zipped! They are still tight, so I won’t be wearing them to work for a bit, but I did it. Happy dance was done at 12:30 am(crazy stuff happens when you can’t sleep). 😁. Now, to loosen em and wear em to work!7

I have a whole wardrobe I'm trying to get back into. There is one dress in particular that is white with black stripes. I wore it for my courthouse wedding and still like to put it on for special occasions. I think I'm at least 20lbs away from it fitting again, though.4

I have a closet full of awesome shirts that I bought the last time I lost weight. I miss wearing them.3

Specifically I have a couple of nice summer dresses that I would like to wear - but it will be the end of the summer anyway (if even this year) before I get there.
In general I would just like to wear jeans and a T shirt. Right now I can't (won't) do that and am sick of leggings and long shirts that hide my middle.5 -
I have some embarrassingly expensive race-fit cycling kit I'd like to get into once again.4

I got rid of all my smaller clothes when I decided to accept that I'd be a Large or bigger for the rest of my life, probably about 6 months before I decided to lose weight and get in shape. My reasoning was that I'd want to buy fresh, new clothes when I lost weight.
I mean, I was right. But I also don't have a lot of money for new clothes, so I am wearing some of the same clothes (medium shirts from last summer, while I was larger) and a few pair of pants in smaller sizes. I decided not to spend money on fall/winter clothes and just wait for spring, so I will be budgeting in some new clothes purchases for the summer.2 -
I have 2 bins of old clothes that I slowly added to over the years as I "outgrew" my clothes. Every time I lose about 5lbs I pull the 2 out and try on the stuff I was close to fitting into last time. Some of the clothes have been donated but I have re-found some gems! A lot of stuff barely got worn and a few items never as they were just a bit too tight when I bought them but figured I was only a few pounds away and surely I would lose those pounds. I'm now down to 1 bin and just a few items in the second bin! I can't wait to have those 2 bins emptied!!
I've been donating my too big stuff as soon as they don't fit except for a few favourite/good quality things I would like to get tailored.4 -
My motorcycle jacket and a few vests.4

A formal gown for my Krewe's Mardi Gras Ball. I could not fit into it for this year and had to buy another larger dress at the last minute. I was so sad. Next year I WILL fit into the dress hanging in my closet with the tags on it!5

I kept a few nice items from when I was a little smaller. I kept a few of my favorite shirts and a dress that I really like. I would love to be able to fit back into them.
I would need to lose about 35 pounds to fit in those again.2
