How long did it take to see a change on the scale ?

I have been exercising and eating healthy for about 2 weeks . My question is did it take some people a little longer to see any movement on the scale ? Maybe a month or so? I think this is why a give up so early. Not seeing any difference in measurements either.

    It varies widely for people. Some people see a big movement on the scale almost immediately. Others can take a lot longer. 2 weeks is too short to make a determination, especially if you just started and exercise routine. Sometimes when you start up with exercise, your body can temporarily retain more water weight as it undergoes muscle repair.

    2 weeks is too short a time to draw any conclusions. Give it at least a month to see how it is working before making changes.

    How are you eating "healthy"? Are you tracking your caloric intake? Keeping yourself in a calorie deficit? How much do you have to lose? Need more data.

    I have been doing intense excercise for 4 weeks but only have been counting calories closely for 2 weeks. Only down 1 lb but my clothes fit a tad bit better and I have so much more energy. I am the same way, Usually quit when I see no results in the scale but I know it takes my body longer to see results.

    Two weeks is a very short time. Fat loss can be masked by other fluctuations, especially when you’re making changes in exercise and the kinds of foods you’re eating. If you are sure that you are eating fewer calories that you’re burning, you can be confident that the fat you’re losing just isn’t evident yet.

    However, you haven’t said what you mean by “eating healthy.” If you’re eating foods you consider healthy, but eating more calories worth of those food than your body is burning, you aren’t losing fat at all. Are you weighing and logging all the foods you are eating? Are you logging exercise? Make sure you’re doing all these thing, and if you are, you can just be patient and wait for your efforts to show on the scale.

    Exercise is great but what matters for weightloss is how many calories you are taking in.

    What do you mean by eating healthy?

    You can still gain or maintain weight if you're eating nutritious rich foods just the same as junk food.

    You can also still lose weight eating the crappiest junk food as long as your at your calorie goal for weightloss.

    Also becareful eating all your exercise calories back i think sometimes the calories burned are exaggerated. Maybe only eat half.

    Weigh and measure your food. Log everything everyday day you put in your body. Double check the database against the food labels sometimes...well most of the time they aren't right.

    I have weeks where I don't lose then weeks where I lose a good loss.

    How much weight are you trying to lose? How close are you to goal. If you're heavy and very far from a good goal weight you're more likely to have large losses at first. Like i had 110 pounds to lose my first month I lost 20lbs. I've now lost 38 pounds since November and my weightloss has slowed down and some weeks I have no loss. Sometimes it's due to not doing as well or my cycle...but I just stick with the calories MFP gives and work towards goal everyday. I log even my bad days.
