Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone could give me some info on p90x - I am in Australia and I do not know of many people who have done and it is not really advertised here.

I am mostly interested in the workout DVD - What's involved? How long to they go for? Do the workouts get too repetitive? Are the estimated results achievable? (if you stick to it of course!)

I am google-ing away here also and have managed the find the meal planner and have read up on all the diet phases but it's the workouts I am most interested in.

I have been working out in a bootcamp class for several years (6 times a week) but have had a bit of slump this year due to my trainer moving out of the area - I am currently doing 2-3bootcamps classes a week but this is not enough - I am looking for something to fill in the gaps with so to speak and am wondering your thoughts - All comments welcomed and thank you all kindly in advance.

Amber
P.S. Sorry if this a question that has been answered several times before - When searching the message boards the main posts I found on this topic were about groups and their timelines and were really focused on people who already knew all the above... Thanks! ;-)

  • Hello Amber! Yes P90X will give you great results if you follow the nutrition plan and stay accountable. The program has 12 workouts broken down in 3 phases.

The workouts are about 1 hour long each. You have Plyometrics, Resistance training, Kenpo, Yoga, Abs workouts,etc..

You can do a few rounds of this program without getting bored, i have done 5 rounds of this program before switching to another program.

P90X is pretty extreme, so if you are looking at something to challenge you and take your fitness to a new level, this is definitely a program you should look at.

Let me know if you need more information about it !
  • This is great info - Thank you! I was just after a high level summary as you have provided - without sifting through website information overload!

Sounds like this is just what I am after! :-)

    Thanks again!!
