So i ordered portion control containers the other day and i grt the concept of measuring the different groups except for protein lol so if i want a chicken breast or a turkey burger, how would i use the container to measure it out? Cause tech if you cut up the meat into tiny pieces it woukd all fit in there anyway hahah but thats not how its supposed to work.... Has anyone else tried the containers to help with their portion servings? I know i have a portion control problem so i figured id give these a try to break the habit

A good many people here use a digital food scale. Nothing is more accurate.
You could under eat while using the containers or over eat while using the containers. 1 cup of strawberries has a different calorie count than 1 cup of pineapple.
The containers have a limited use. You are measuring "ingredients." What if your lunch is a recipe instead, say soup. How would you measure that in your containers?2 -
And here's the kicker: The food scale is not only more accurate, it's quicker and easier, once you learn the tricks.
Example: Peanut butter. Put jar on scale. Zero (tare) the scale. Take knife, scoop out desired peanut butter. Read negative number on scale: That's how much you took out. Done.
Practically instant, and nothing extra to wash up.7 -
I use a digital food scale. No need to spend $$ on portion control containers.1

I would test it out by measuring it on a food scale. It's a great idea. I often use various measuring tools once I KNOW the accuracy on a food scale. Use all the tools, a variety is the spice of life. Whatever keeps us in the game is good. For life!0
