Steak!

How do you like yours? I’ve got two beautiful pieces with all the fat removed ready for dinner tonight. I want to do more than just cook it in a pan with some fry light.

Good quality steak doesn't need much.

I would go with just salt, pepper and maybe some mushrooms or onions on the side.

Goes well with homemade chips from the oven. Don't need much oil for that and maybe a salad?

    Enjoy!

I’d leave the fat on. If the fat is excessive trim to reasonable amount. Seasoning of your choice (salt, pepper & onion powder for my family). Grilled, no oil needed. Grilled veggies for side.

    1. Let steak sit out for 30-60 mins to bring up to room temperature.
    2. Salt and McCormick Steak seasoning
    3. Turn on oven to 415 and grill on high.
    4. Once both are at full temp, cook steak in oven for 4 mins.
    5. Pull out of oven and sear on a grill for 2 mins each side.
    6. Let steak for 5-10 minutes (for extra flavor use the butter I noted below)

And if you want and have some extra calories, I often take a tbsp of butter out (so it gets soft), coat with garlic salt and then top of steak once it's off the grill.

I usually have a baked potato with steak. Cook it once, 400F for an hour so it is browned and crisp on the edges. Into the frig until tomorrow, cut in half lengthwise, then heat it up in the microwave with 1/2 pat of butter on each half. That is how the restaurants get a waxy baked potato as opposed to a fluffy potato.

We cook our steaks in a black skillet in the oven. So good.
