I’m going keto to drop these last 20 lbs left, I’ve heard so many things about the keto diet and I’m curious if it’ll work.

I’m just not sure how to calculate net carbs from the nutrition data on My Fitness Pal?

I don’t have premium by the way😅

MFP is not set up to do keto, you'll need to figure out your numbers on your own/using different site's calculators etc.

Net Carbohydrates are the carbohydrates minus the grams of fiber you've eaten.

there is a script called Greasemonkey that you download to get net carbs ...take a look at my diary if you want

Go to Carb Manager...it will calculate calories & macros required based on your individual needs and you can also log your food there...quite an extensive database of foods and net carbs are calculated for you.

there is a competitor app that caters to keto diets - you choose "keto" in the options. it is a very good app, but I like the social aspect of MFP, which this other app doesn't have. it also has really good micronutrient breakdowns.

Yes, OP you could just swap out something you don't need to track for Fiber, put Fiber next to Carbs, and do the math in your head.

You could prelog your day to see if you're on track.

I just went with total carbs - much easier. ;)

You could always set your carb goal a bit higher than your net carb would be and use a rough estimate
