This is what worked for me:
- weighed daily so I can see that my weight moves up as well as down occasionally. Recorded it in a free weight trending app. Stops me feeling anxious when I see an 'up'.
- scanned/searched my food using the app so I could see the calories. Made me realise some food/snacks were just not worth it to me! You can lose wait without feeling hungry all the time just understand the calories in what you are eating/drinking.
- worked with a weekly calorie target and allowed myself to relax a little at weekends. I drink 2 nights a week.
- cut down on salt. It makes me retain water = weight.
- had a 5 day diet break after losing just over 2 stone. Put on 2-3 lbs and lost it again very quickly. Felt great.
- increased my walking, a lot. My wife bought me a basic Fitbit and I now average over 13k steps a day and feel so much healthier. Walking = calories out.
- until you find your feet be wary of any advice on here which states you 'MUST' do xyx to lose weight other than consume less calories than you burn.
The above list works for me. It might not for you. Take your time and work out what does.
Very best of luck to you.0
