Interesting water weight gain

Hi everyone,

I went off my birth control pill 4 weeks ago as my husband and I are going to start trying to conceive within the next few months. I was 19 when I went on the pill and I am now 27 so I have been on it for a while. A couple days after I stopped the pill my weight jumped up from my maintenance range of 137-140 up to 146 overnight. I have not changed anything with my eating or exercise, so I know it was water weight gain so it doesn't really bother me, it just seems odd that is has stuck around for a month. It has not affected the way my clothes fit or anything either. I asked my OBGYN about it and she said it is nothing to worry about. I guess my main question is, has this happened to anyone else before? Did the weight stick around for the long term or did it eventually come off? I am okay if this is my new maintenance weight, just curious if anyone else has ever experienced this.

I am a daily weigh-er and I also find it interesting that since this jump I have had far fewer daily weight fluctuations. When I was on BC my daily weight usually varied by a pound or so from day to day but since stopping BC and with this jump in weight I have pretty consistently weighed 146 pounds every day (with the ounces varying from day to day).

Like I said this extra weight doesn't really bother me I just found it interesting and wondered if anyone else has gone through something similar.
