So, long story short. I started using MFP in 2011 when high school me wanted to lose some weight. I stopped using it and got bigger. Flash forward to November 13, 2013, where I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. With type 1, you need to religiously measure how much food you eat so you can take the correct insulin. I used it for four ish years, kept my A1C below 6.0 (awesome for a type 1), and lost so much weight that I went down to around 130 pounds. Welp, then it got ugly. Even though I was at a healthy weight, I lost my period. Was placed on birth control, and it made me psycho.

Around this time, I was also developing orthorexic-like tendencies. Every morning, even if it was 3AM, my butt would be up and walking until I hit 7500 steps... the remaining 2500 would be covered about a half hour later. For a while I was running a good two year 10K streak. Depression hit and I just let myself go with the religious activity. Then the end of nursing school really killed me and I spent so much time studying for my boards and enjoying the last few weeks with my friends. By this time, I definitely was in the 160ish range.

Nursing hit hard. 12 hour shifts, inconsistent eating, and then me binging on a ton of food and wine. Things got really ugly with the wine and caused me to lose someone that I love. My mental health can still be improved on like crazy, as I’m still trying to get on the right combo of medications.

So now that said friend/ex of mine are going to Disney in about 6 months, and my A1C is faaaar from perfect (so much that I got a lecture from the endocrinologist about being lazy) now is really the time to get back on the tracking habit. When I get into work tomorrow I plan on weighing myself, but just from the look and feel of how my body is compared to what it was when I first started, I definitely feel around to be 210.

So, let’s see how this goes! I’m particularly happy that my old food entries are still here so it’s not too hard finding stuff in grams.

That's quite a road/path you walked already. (or don't you say it like that in English? Hehe)
Even though I don't have diabetes1, I do recognize the struggle with food. I hope you find your way here again, so your endocrinologist won't have to lecture you anymore :')
