Same body, different attitude.

Felt like a beast yesterday in the gym. Went today and felt deflated and grumpy. Within a span of 1 day, although my body has not changed at all, I see it completely differently. Does anyone else experience this phenomenon?

I sometimes drag myself to my workout and it's tougher still, when I'm working through my routine with someone whose an endurance athlete with a superior power/strength ability and conditioning to mine, who eases through "the fast-twitch" phases of our programme with such ease, more than I can manage - my sister. She's taller too, so I work triple-hard to keep up, even though I set the pace, since our location is at a high altitude and is outdoors.

Working at it hard like a beast in the morning is never a struggle. It's the evening to night time workout that is a challenge for my body, depending on the usual we all need to consider (energy bank), at that time of one's day, when most are winding down. For my sister, she's still good and can continue for days, keeping to our programme, if she'd needed to. Comparatively, it's a conscious effort right throughout for me, to keep up.

I used to be big with having a workout playlist, which was my music therapy - the psyche in to get myself in the zone, only now with having to do without it, I'm forced to kick-off anything remotely deflative or the "I don't feel like it" vibe in the great outdoors with natural sounds (birds), to consciously apply myself to sync in, stride for stride, drill to drill, incline after incline - aware and focused. I can't drop the ball and let us down.
