I did Noom for the initial period. It is a behavior change program that is very sound. I found it very helpful, but did not renew after the I initial period because I felt Noom had given me the tools i needed to move forward on my own ... so, at that point I moved to MFP.

Noom is far more structured than MFP and looks at eating from a variety of perspectives. It is focused on lifestyle change. They do not tell you what to eat or prescribe a specific diet. I did not feel that the "coaching" or community elements were particularly valuable.

If you are someone who has found sticking with a health program difficult, Noom might be helpful. Bottom line, though, regardless of what program you choose, being consistent and finding a strategy that you can maintain forever is really important. I think that considering this as a "diet" with a specific start and end date is problematic.

I looked at it. But when I replied to my “coach’s” email, I got an auto-responder. They don’t seem to support Keto, which is what I’m all about, so I never signed up officially.
