Egg replacement?

Hello!
I recently found out that I am allergic to eggs This is devastating to me as I love eggs, and rely a lot on egg whites for helping me to eat healthy and stay on track. I've done a great deal of research but haven't been able to find any type of real replacement for say scrambled eggs. There are a ton of options for baking and cooking, but nothing if you want to eat something that resembles an actual egg. I'm turning to this wonderful community in hopes that maybe there is a product out there that I am missing? Or some other solution I haven't thought about? Thank you!!

Just Egg is a new product that is supposed to closely replicate scrambled eggs. I haven't tried it yet, but I have seen many positive reviews. The *cost* is not close at all to eggs, it's much more expensive.
Some people like tofu scramble as an breakfast alternative to eggs. It's easy to make, affordable, and high in protein.2 -
Thank you! Silly question but is tofu scramble an actual product or just a way of cooking tofu? i.e scrambling it like you would eggs.0

Not silly at all!
It's a way of cooking tofu. To make it, most people are using extra-firm tofu and then either crumbling it or cutting it and cooking it in a pan with various things (herbs, spices, vegetables, etc) to add flavor. Tofu doesn't have a super-distinctive taste, so you will want to add stuff. I think it's mostly vegans eating it, but there's no reason why it wouldn't also work for someone with an egg allergy. Some people add black salt because it has a taste that can remind people of eggs (black salt is also known as kala nemak, it can be found online or at Indian grocery stores). Black salt seems to be a hate it or love it thing though (I personally love it).
There are about as many different tofu scramble recipes as there are vegans, but here is a basic one that I like: https://www.isachandra.com/2008/10/scrambled-tofu/0 -
Can you do egg beaters? Not sure if they are actual eggs0

Egg Beaters are made from egg whites, so they wouldn't work unless OP's allergy is just to the yolk of the egg.1 -
Sadly I'm allergic to both the egg white and yolk. So egg beaters and the like are not options.0

I have no suggestions. I just feel really bad for you.0 -
I tried the Just Egg a few weeks ago and wouldn't recommend it. I was pretty excited but I found while the texture was similar to egg the flavor was weird. It is also super expensive! I think my bottle was $8 or $9 and that made the equivalent of 2-3 portions of scrambled eggs.
I use this recipe for tofu scramble but generally just add whatever veggies I have on hand (use all the spices).

Thanks for the feedback! I am definitely going to give tofu scramble a try. It seems like the safest option0

Yes, I saw a bottle last week and I think it was $10. That's the main reason I haven't tried it yet.0
