Continuous RolePlay Thread {Medieval Fantasy}

Okeedokee, because I'm an RP nerd, I figured I'd give it a go.

The realm we're playing in, is called Andrial, and it's set about mid-13th century... with a fantasy twist. It looks like Europe at that time, lots of green trees, oceans, rivers, mountains... but it is peopled with a variety of races, species, and magical and racial abilities.

Create your character- be creative! And then just ... write. If you're responding to a particular post in your writing, please quote it, so others can follow along... but the world's our oyster.. let's make a pearl!



Character name: Amaurea, commonly called "Ama"
Race: Merrow, more specifically, Siren
Appearance: Silvery-gray skin, dark eyes with yellow irises, long black hair, blue/purple scales covering her chest and tail. Her tail is covered in feather-like fins, which, while beautiful, cause her to swim slowly.

Strengths: Siren's song, Siren's scream, Venomous, Literate, Speaks three languages (Common tongue, Merrow, and Draconic).

Weaknesses: Vampiric- must drink blood, and goes insane if she does not. Difficulty with walking on land. Must return to the water after 8 hours out of it. Slow swimmer. Not physically strong.

The story begins:

Ama had just arrived in Andrial, nearly collapsing into the sands of the floor in the natural harbour of the land, after a long swim. She was from tropical waters, and arriving here, she had become colder with each mile of sea that she had traveled. As she lay on her back, staring at the life around her, she would note the darkness of the kelp, and the subtlety of the colour of the sea life. As she watched the fish on their random wanderings, she would ponder to herself, wondering about the land-walking life in these parts... and would swim up to the surface, intent on some distant suveillance. Crawling up onto a rock, she would settle, allowing the wind to whip her long hair about her face.... and would begin the long watch. Surely, a ship would approach, eventually...

The hair on Ama's arms begins to stand as electricity permeates the air. Suddenly a sphere of light appears. Through this sphere she see a room with several men. One of these men steps through the sphere onto the ground before her. He says "I'm sorry but for the sake of humanity you must not live." He then raises his arm and shoots her with an energy blast that completely disintegrates her. He steps back through the sphere and it closes.

Seriously? No.

In RP you can't kill anyone without their consent... cus it's a game that everyone participates in.

Seriously? No.

In RP you can't kill anyone without their consent... cus it's a game that everyone participates in.

if only you had stated that rule in the OP....sorry but Ama is gone.

Quite right- silly me, I figured that people would be good-natured and fun, rather than breaking out the bullying and assholery.
