Scale not going down? Am i doing something wrong?

I don't know if i am doing something wrong here, because the scale isn't going down fast enough and it's been a month. I stepped on the bioimpedance scale in the gym and it shows i only lost half a kilo of fat so far.

I go the gym 4 days a week i do weight lifting and some cardio mostly weight lifting. I also work 2 days as a postman so that is a lot of physical activity.

I don't let my body ever feel hungry and i stay under 2000 calories. The only thing that is worrying me is late at night i wake up feeling very hungry so i go and eat something small (100-200) calories then go back to bed this is only happening since i started going to the gym.

Even though i don't really see much results, i do feel great have a lot more energy and i can clearly feel my arm and leg muscle which wasn't there at all because i was never really physically active.

Sounds to me like according to your work out, you may be gaining muscle which is quite a bit heavier than fat. You also may need to eat more since you are a post man. And if you are a post man, I assume you are a man. Your BMR will be around 1500-1800. You say you stay under 2000. Sounds like you may be slipping into a bit of starvation mode. You probably need to eat more.

Seems like you are gaining muscle as you have said your workout is predominantly weight lifting so this is going to be the case. I advise that you take your measurements if you havnt done so yet, if you were looking to loose lbs rather than gain muscle you should be focusing more on cardio work. However I am not sure what your aim is.

For a 24 year old male going to the gym and with a physical job I'm sorry but if he's eating under 2000 calories there isn't a chance he is gaining muscle. Don't worry about it man, just look for changes in your body. The scale isn't budging for me for whatever reason yet I am still getting slightly leaner weekly, don't sweat about what the scale says but how your body changes!
