Boca Veggie Crumbles

Anyone else ever tried the Boca Veggie pre-cooked crumbles? A good substitute for cooked ground beef. My husband & i like it. We are wanting to cut back on eating red meat, & i found the substitute for it and we can still have our "beef meals" without the "red meat".
And since it is pre-cooked & frozen, it makes it very easy & quick for making meals such as soups, spaghetti, hamaburger helper, chilli beans, tacos so quick & easy.

I have some brand of tvp in the freezer. I don't eat it often but it's a nice filler if I need a bit more protein.0

I keep it on hand for convenience, because I can decide at the last minute to have spaghetti with "meat" sauce, chili con "carne," etc., without having to wait for ground beef to thaw or to try to defrost it in the microwave or in the pan without cooking the exterior before the interior thaws. Plus, as I mostly cook for one these days, and the crumbles are actually crumbles, it's also more convenient if I just want enough for one meal, compared to ground beef or turkey that I may not have broken down into small enough portions before freezing.
For me it's an option that I use sometimes, as I'm an omnivore.0 -
I have the beyond beef crumbles which are similar- I am thinking of buying the boca burger next- have heard it is pretty good-0

I'll have to try it for tacos.0

I like the Quorn also, their "beef" and "chicken" pieces are staples for me even though I am an omnivore. They are convenient meat-like protein sources that prep from frozen nicer and easier than actual meat. I made chili and bolognese Sunday from the grounds, to eat through the week.0

I can't find them.
I do love the crumbles though. Super easy/quick meal is mixing some into a bag of the Green Giant microwave cauli-rice (or cauli-rice blends). Add some spices and either hot sauce or liquid aminos.
We love them in tacos too.0
