Garmin battery discharging

I have a Garmin Felix 5X. The battery will occasionally just “dump” its charge - like go from 90% to nothing in an afternoon. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I wondering if I have a warranty issue or if it just happens occasionally.

    Never had that issue with my 5x. I did notice the battery drain was higher after the 12.50 upgrade so I restarted it. Since the restart it seems to be back to normal.

    Do you have any watch faces or widgets that could be causing this?

    I *think* it’s doing it when it does an update but I’m not positive. No - I don’t have any widgets or background apps running when it happens. It’s just a bit odd.
    Works perfectly the rest of the time...

    You may have a defective watch, check with Garmin, their customer support is legendary....
