Hello All MFP

I recently did a pt session that lasted an hour and my FT7 HRM watch showed i burned around 940cals.

However over that last couple of days, i have been doing the same workout that i did with the PT and seem to be done in 45 mins and only burn 470ish cals

I am doing everything the same order and the same intensity.

Anyone have any ideas why they differ so much

Thanks

Would I be correct in thinking that this workout does not involve a lot of steady state cardio?

If so, I would suggest that the problem lies largely in the fact that HRM are notoriously unreliable for anything other than steady state cardio when it comes to estimating caloric expenditure.

Well the day went like this

10min interval bike session level 7
then moved to doing some stretches
machine exercise consisited of 3 x 20 sets of pulldown, pectoral machine and low row
during the sets was doing 20 up and over box steps.

then did 30 sec planks with 15 secs rest between, 5 sets.
did 3x15 hip raise with box steps again.

followed by 5mins cooldown walk on treadmill
