Simple lightbulb moment

Hi. Scotsman here in my early sixties.

Apologies for stating the obvious but only recently did I realise that eating too much and not moving enough is not the cause of me being overweight it is a symptom of my state of mind which as a byproduct leads me to be overweight. Well obese actually, must stop kidding myself.

Over the last few years I have struggled with a number of issues, not all of which are behind me, but I can at last feel more positive about my future and with that in mind I have decided that myfitnesspal can help. At my heaviest I was about 252lbs, currently 231lb with a target of 164lb. No hurry to get there, so I could be around for a while.

Looking forward to reading other's stories and good luck to one and all.

Calum

Good for you! The mind-body connection is amazing and such a circular feedback loop. Hopefully, the eating and movement change will also have a really positive impact on your state of mind as well. I know it does for me ... and ever more since I joined the "senior citizen" status.
