While I don't want to take the position of endorsing every aspect of the USDA nutritional recommendations, I was interested to stumble over a "Dietary Reference Intake Calculator" on the USDA site.

The calculator allows you to specify some demographic data (anonymously), and displays the recommended intake level and (where available) tolerable upper level for macronutrients, vitamins and minerals, for a person of that weight, height, gender, age, etc. (The results page includes a number of qualifiers and caveats I won't repeat here.)

Perhaps everyone else knew this exists; I didn't, so I thought I'd share it: https://fnic.nal.usda.gov/fnic/dri-calculator/

I'm not going to debate the validity or accuracy of the recommendations. I just found it interesting, as a summary of what the USDA might specifically recommend, tailored to one's own situation.
